Privacy Policy

When a church is submitted to the 9Marks Church Finder, we collect the following information:

• Church name, address, and contact details
• Pastor name and email address
• Information about the church's beliefs, practices, and services
• Submitter name, email, and role

The information we collect is used to:

• Create and maintain church directory listings
• Verify church submissions and contact churches during review
• Communicate with submitters about the status of submissions
• Improve the Church Finder service

Approved church listings are publicly visible in the directory. Public listings include the church name, address, service times, website, and general contact information. Pastor email addresses and submitter contact information are not publicly displayed.

We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Information may be shared with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Church Finder
• The public, for approved church directory listings described above

We use essential cookies to operate the site, such as admin and church-dashboard authentication. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

For website analytics we use two services from Vercel, our hosting provider. Neither sets cookies in your browser.

• Vercel Web Analytics records page views and the page URL, referrer, country, and browser, device, and operating system type. Visitors are counted using a short-lived hash of the request rather than a cookie, and the data we see is aggregated statistics only.
• Vercel Speed Insights records page performance measurements (Core Web Vitals such as loading and responsiveness timings) together with the route, connection speed, country, and browser, device, and operating system type, so we can keep the Church Finder fast.

These measurements are not combined with the church listing or account information described above, and they are not used to track you across other websites. See Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation and Speed Insights privacy documentation for details on what each service collects and how long it is kept.

Church listing data is retained as long as the listing is active. If a church requests removal from the directory, we will remove the listing and associated data in a timely manner.
