The 9Marks Church Finder is a directory of churches whose pastors have signed the Pastor Affirmations. A listing is about where the church is, or where that pastor is leading it. 9Marks does not grade churches or sell ranking. Learn more about the nine marks of a healthy church at 9Marks.

What the finder is looking for
These marks include expositional preaching, biblical theology, a biblical understanding of the gospel, conversion, evangelism, church membership, church discipline, discipleship and growth, and biblical church leadership.
Listing verified
Facts, not a health grade
This mark means the listing is accurate: who the pastor is, where the church meets, and that a pastor or elder really signed the Pastor Affirmations. It is verification of facts, not of the church’s health. A paid listing covers the listing itself. Nobody can buy ranking or placement.
Listing process
How churches get listed
- 1A pastor or elder submits the church through the submission form and signs the Pastor Affirmations.
- 2The 9Marks team reviews the listing facts: who the pastor is, where they meet, and that the affirmation was really signed.
- 3Once approved and activated, the church appears in the directory with a Listing verified mark.
- 4The signing pastor or elder is asked to re-up that affirmation each year.
