About

We are a small black church that adheres strongly to the 9 marks as well as the historic 1689 Baptist Confession. We have three Elders: Pastor Burrell, Pastor Crosby, and Pastor Smallwood. The current leadership as been together since 1993 and was from a merger of two other local Calvinistic assemblies. The equality/plurality of elder-leadership and consecutive expository preaching have been bedrock commitments from the SGC?s conception. May the great Head of the church continue to solidify the doctrinal/practical integrity of the life His church on earth.
