About
Southside exists to declare God’s glory and to find our greatest joy in Him. How do we do that? We declare God’s glory by helping those lost in sin find joy in following Christ as we make disciples who KNOW God’s word, GROW in community, and GO and make disciples. Values: Worship (Walking in newness of life) - Declare God’s Glory: We make disciples who reflect the glory of God in every aspect of life—through our words, actions, and relationships. Worship is not just what we do on Sundays; it’s how we live daily in obedience to Christ, displaying His goodness to the world (Rom. 12:1, 1 Cor. 10:31). Community (Members of one another) - Grow in Community: We are called to be more than just attendees. As members of one another, we commit to cultivating strong, healthy, and grace-filled relationships within our church, supporting, encouraging, and challenging one another to grow in faith, love, and holiness (Acts 2:42, Rom. 12:10, Eph. 4:16). Biblical Authority (Setting the Truth as our standard) - Know God’s Word: God’s Word is our foundation and ultimate authority in all matters of faith and life. We seek to know, love, and live by the truth of Scripture, allowing it to shape our beliefs, guide our decisions, and transform our hearts (Jn. 8:31-32, Ps. 119:105, 2 Tim. 3:16-17). Generosity (Stewarding God’s Gifts for His Kingdom): Everything we have, our time, treasures, and talents, have all been given to us by God, and He gives us what we need. Therefore, we joyfully and sacrificially give for the furtherance of His Kingdom, both within our church and homes, throughout our community, and world (Matt. 6:19-21, Acts 20:35, 2 Cor. 9:7). Multiplication (Missional Living) - Go and Make Disciples: The Gospel compels us to go. We are not just called to be disciples but to make disciples. Every member is sent on mission, engaging the lost, serving others, and advancing God’s Kingdom in our homes, to our neighborhoods, and to the nations for His glory (Gen. 12:2-3, Ps. 67:1-4, Matt. 28:19-20).
