About
We are a sovereign grace Southern Baptist church that began on September 14, 2003. We currently meet at the Hilton Inn, 2945 NW Expressway, 1/2 mile east of Baptist Integris Medical Center, for 10:30 Sunday morning worship. Future Sunday Bible study classes and midweek home Bible studies are in the plans. We have three elders: Chris Humphreys, Vance Martin and Bill Stemmons. Chris graduated from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in 1980, and was involved in church planting early in his pastoral ministry in Michigan and Ohio. Chris returned to his native roots in Oklahoma City in 1992, where he came to understand and embrace the doctrines of grace. In the spring of 2003, through the encouragement of others, God led Chris to begin the process of starting a sovereign grace SBC church in Oklahoma City. Two pastor friends, Vance Martin and Bill Stemmons, both in the Okla. City area, joined Chris in this effort.
