Our Mission At Gunbarrel Baptist Church, we aim to be a people deeply rooted in the Word of God and sent out on the mission of God. We believe the good news of Jesus Christ changes everything—reconciling us to God, forming us into His people, and sending us out to make Him known. We are committed to being both family-focused and gospel-centered. The Gospel shapes how we worship, how we disciple our children, how we pursue lives that reflect Christ, and how we love one another in a biblical community. When we talk about family, we don’t just mean biological families, but the family of God. We love seeing every generation grow together in Christ—bearing one another’s burdens, encouraging one another, and maturing together in faith. We also recognize that the church does not exist for itself. We are a sent people. Our desire is to be a faithful presence in Gunbarrel and beyond—loving our neighbors, engaging our community, and proclaiming the truth of Scripture as we make disciples of Jesus Christ. We long to see lives changed by the Gospel, homes strengthened by the Word, and the name of Jesus made known in every part of life. We are not a perfect people, but a dependent one—sinners saved by grace, continually being shaped by the Spirit through the Word. At GBC, we seek to be a church where people are known, cared for, and encouraged to walk faithfully with Christ together.
