About
Girard Bible Church (GBC) was established in 1969 by a small group of families who were seeking to study the Bible and live out their faith. These families saw a need in Girard and the surrounding area for Bible-centered, Christ-glorifying teaching, discipleship, and fellowship. Most of these founding families are still at GBC. GBC continues to seek to be sound in doctrine and biblically founded in ministry philosophy and practice. We exist for two primary reasons: to provide a place for the teaching of the Word of God, the fellowship of His saints, the biblical worship of God, and prayer. to reach out into the world around us with the light of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our desire is to bring glory to God in all that we are and all that we do. Our distinctive is that we teach and preach the Bible alone. The teaching and preaching of the Word of God is the central focus of every class and church service. We seek to do this by pursuing precision, clarity, and faithfulness in the teaching and application of the Word with a view toward the building up of the body to the maturity of Christ.
