Cross Community Church

About

Cross Community is a Baptist congregation cooperating with the Pillar Network, the South Carolina Baptist Convention, the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Savannah River Baptist Association. We affirm the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) as our primary doctrinal statement and we also affirm the Abstract of Principles, the Chicago Statement on Inerrancy, the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, and the Nashville Statement on Human Sexuality. We exist to glorify God by preaching the gospel and making disciples of all nations, and we strive to accomplish this mission through the 4-phase strategy of gathering, growing, giving, and going. CCC is theologically reformed and led by a plurality of elders. We practice Christ-centered, text-driven, verse-by-verse exposition of the Scriptures as the primary approach to preaching. Though our musical style is more modern and contemporary in nature, we are a generationally diverse church family and our song selection includes both traditional and modern songs and hymns. Our community groups are sermon-based discussion groups, and we also provide opportunities for Bible study and personal discipleship through gender-specific groups. We are heavily engaged in local church planting and outreach efforts and are supportive of global church planting and missions efforts as well.
